Our Mission

What We Do

The QEC works to secure enhanced geoscientific capability and sustained high levels of state and federal pre-competitive exploration funding as well as streamlined access for explorers to land identified as prospective.

How We Do It

The QEC has four specialist groups;

1. Investment Working Group

2. Research Working Group

3. Events and Business Attraction Working Group

4. Scorecard Working Group

Complementing the policy work of the Queensland Resources Council, the QEC is seeking to promote the natural advantages of Queensland and Brisbane as a home to minerals and energy companies and the wide range of essential service companies.

As examples of the measurable gains being sought, by 2020 the QEC is aiming for 100 more exploration companies to be based in Queensland, an improved ranking on the Fraser Institute Survey, a doubling of the number of investment brokers, and 100 new junior resource IPOs.
